Jon Savell
Jon joined Woolworths in March 2018, with 20 years experience in the retail property industry.
Commencing in retail property management Jon worked in national roles for Rockmans, Guava and Starbucks, before overseeing the initial store roll out of ALDI in the Australian market, in both NSW and Queensland.
In 2007 Jon commenced at Scentre Group (formally Westfield) where he was responsible for complex master planning and delivery of large scale shopping centre developments across Western Australia, Victoria and NSW. During this time there he was involved with numerous redevelopments, most notably Westfield Fountain Gate, Westfield Miranda and the initiation of Westfield Warringah.
In 2015 Jon commenced at Vicinity Centres as Regional General Manager, Development responsible for the development pipeline in NSW and QLD. In 2016, he was promoted to Development Director with responsibility of NSW/VIC/TAS. He oversaw the redevelopments at Warriewood, DFO South Wharf, The Glen and Chadstone during that time.
Jon brings extensive knowledge from both a retail and landlord perspective, with his key strengths in government relations, complex negotiations, business partnering, team leadership and driving process improvements.
He leads a team of 45 property professionals responsible for the management of ~1,500 leases. The team work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to provide the best possible network of stores for our customers.
